Woman-Centric Home Plans
Since January, 2003, Design Basics has focused on an ever-growing understanding of women’s preferences in the home. Early on, our research revealed the four Livability at a Glance™ “lenses” women were telling us they use when studying a home design’s suitability for her and her household. Those four lenses have helped guide our home design philosophy, and customer feedback, mostly from women, has inspired us to create homes with enhanced livability and style. As women described things they want to change, would do differently, or regret not having considered, their challenges inspired our designers to create new, innovative amenities that offer solutions to the problems these women described to us, many of which have become today’s hottest design trends!
