Livability at a Glance™ Plan Search

A Better Way to Search for Home Plans

What if you could search home plans based on what’s most important to you, your lifestyle, and your preferences? That would be helpful; perhaps even provide a few new insights and save lots of time!
Design Basics’ Livability at a Glance™ plan search focuses in on how the home lives, making it easier to identify floor plans that may better correlate to your preferences. Using our preference indicators allows you to identify the importance of each aspect when searching plans.
While blunt search criteria such as house size and width keep you from wasting time looking at unworkable designs, searching by the Livability lenses is much more focused and relevant. To further aid in your search, review the Livability Index – a composite rating based on the home plan’s Entertaining, De-stressing, Storing, and Flexible Living attributes – the higher the number, the better the plan scored.

How to Search Plans by Livability Lenses

      1. Set the importance of each Livability at a Glance lens.
Note: If only one or two lenses are important to you, you don’t have to rate all four lenses to get results.
      2. Discover and compare plans by their Livability Index.
The Livability Index measures a home design’s livability attributes. The higher the score, the closer of a match with desired attributes.
      3. You’re ready to begin your Livability Home Plan Search!
