Thank you!

Here's a bit of trivia for Baby Boomers out there. Kathleen Casey-Kirschling will be the nation's first Baby Boomer to file for Social Security retirement benefits, according to Michael J. Astrue, Social Security commissioner. She's going to do it amid much fanfare at 1:30 p.m. on October 15, 2007, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

Born on January 1, 1946 at 12:00:01 a.m., Casey-Kirschling, a retired teacher and resident of Maryland, will file for benefits based on Social Security requirements allowing filing no more than four months prior to when benefits will begin--in her case at age 62.

We are seeking your input and thoughts about home designs for Boomers.  Below we have selected a few home plans designed specifically for  boomers.

Please take a moment to evaluate the plans.  Think about what the plan offers as compared to what you would like to see in a home designed for your needs, and then please send us your comments.  Please include items such as finished square footage and desired design features.

You may email Design Basics anonymously or if you would like a reply, you may include your email address.  Click any image to view that boomer home plan.
