Since January, 2003, Design Basics’ attention has been on understanding what women want in their homes…studying how homes “live” through her perspective. Why? Because women make the majority of the decisions when purchasing a new home!

Like leaders in other industries, to stay at the forefront we need to understand who are customers are and what they want. Our ongoing research (focus groups, home buyer surveys, and model home interviews) combined with our sizable custom home design business has taught us to listen…differently. Not surprisingly, most of what we hear is from our female clients.
