OMAHA, NE (April 25, 2008) Woman-Centric Matterssm, a division
of Design Basics, the nation’s largest home plan design service to the building industry, announced
today that Rosewood Homes, headquartered in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has been licensed
as the area’s exclusive Woman-Centric Matterssm home builder.
Woman-centric homes intuitively appeal to women, according
to Linda Reimer, President of Design Basics. Reimer explained that after listening to the input from
numerous focus groups with women of all
ages and backgrounds from across the country, Design Basics discovered
there are four primary aspects that are important to women when choosing a home plan: entertaining;
flexible living spaces; ample storage; and de-stressing areas. “Because of the livability
of woman-centric homes, the homes are popular with men, too. From both a fiscal and a design standpoint,
builders can’t continue offering the same old home designs. You have to look at a design through the
lens of ‘how does the home live?’ because that’s the way women view a home,” said Reimer.
Larry Weissenburger, fifth generation builder and co-owner
of Rosewood Homes, said he was totally convinced of the value of the woman-centric approach after attending
a two-day seminar at the Omaha, Nebraska headquarters of Design Basics to learn about woman-centric
home design, building, and customer care. “It just makes so much sense,” said
Larry, continuing, “Becoming a Woman-Centric Matters licensee is the natural extension of our long-standing
commitment to the needs of our customers. This just takes our business practices to an even higher level.”
Specializing in new homes, home additions and remodeling, Larry
and his wife Rachael work closely with each homeowner, designing the home style, choosing the appropriate
price range, arranging financing, selecting the quality products that go into the home to meet
their customers’ budget, and offering professional decorating ideas. Rachael says, “We concentrate
on how the home lives, emphasizing areas and amenities for de-stressing, entertaining, storing and
flexible living.” She states that communication is the key to customer satisfaction. “We
spend extra time with our buyers up front in determining what will go into their new home. By communicating
thoroughly and often, we’ve worked hard to make the entire process understandable, fun, and stress free.”

of the Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire and the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce.
