OMAHA, NE (August 1, 2007) Woman-Centric Matterssm, a division of Design Basics, the nation’s largest home plan design service to the building industry, announced today that TC Homes, headquartered in Dayton, Minnesota, has been licensed as a Woman-Centric Matterssm home builder in the NW Suburban Minneapolis area including Brockton Meadows, Rogers, Brooklyn Park and Albertville. Woman-centric homes intuitively appeal to women, according to Linda Reimer, President of Design Basics. As Reimer explained, Design Basics conducted numerous focus groups with women of all ages and backgrounds from across the country and discovered there are four primary aspects that are important to women when selecting a home plan: flexible living spaces; entertaining; storage; and de-stressing areas. When questioned about the response from men, Reimer states, “Because of the livability of woman-centric homes, the homes are popular with men, too.” Brian Tutt, President of TC Homes, said he was totally convinced of the value of the woman-centric approach after attending a two-day seminar at the Omaha, Nebraska headquarters of Design Basics to learn about woman-centric home design, building, and customer care. “It just makes so much sense,” said Tutt continuing, “ In addition to the home designs, we’re incorporating woman-centric principles into everything we do. The whole idea is to make the home buying process less stressful and more enjoyable.” TC Homes owners Brian and Jason Tutt are second-generation builders, having learned their trade from their father Jerry. Jason Tutt says, “Dad always has required that we listen to our home buyers needs, build the highest quality homes that truly meet those needs, and give service from the heart. He taught us to truly care. And as we transform our business to have a more woman-centric focus, I see that we actually have been
woman-centric all along. Now we have the opportunity to take that to a whole new level with the Woman-Centric Matters brand.” ####
