The original plan, the Grayson, 3006-33A-338, is shown at left. The new plan, the Brinkley, 42045-33A-338, created by the group with the help of a Design  Basics’ designer, is shown on the next page, along with photos of the participants. Their suggestions are highlighted in 11 numbers that correspond with the new floor plan at right.

To accommodate the changes, the original plan’s 1806 finished square feet grew to 2485 sq. ft.

Think Tank ParticipantANN MELNYK
Ann has been in real estate for over 20 years and currently is the broker/owner for Prudential Heartland Properties in Overland Park, ansas. An empty nester, she has three grown children.  While none of her children are married, she does have a grand-dog.

Think Tank ParticipantGAYLE FRENCH
Gayle is married to a
homebuilder she began dating at 16. They married after college, have three children and have owned 11 homes. In addition to designing model homes for her husband’s firm (Tom French Construction Inc., Overland Park, KS), she enjoys gardening, sewing and decorating her own home for holiday entertaining.

Think Tank ParticipantMARY BETH SHEALY
Mary Beth has been in real estate since 1999 and heads The Shealy Team, which pecializes in new construction and relocations in North and South Carolina. A single
mother of a 12-year-old son and an 11-year-old daughter, she is
very involved in community and civic organizations.

Think Tank ParticipantPAT CARLSON
Pat had owned and
operated a salon business in Iowa
for ten years when she and her husband decided to move to Kansas City where they became real estate agents and formed The Carlson Real Estate Team.  The real joy of their lives is their 2-year-old granddaughter.
